Haiku for a dismal week

Perpetual twillight -
The damp gloom stifles the soul.
A week without sun.

I cannot express how much this f***ing weather depresses me. I'm sure the suicide rate must have soared this week.

I don't believe you have quite the same problem in NYC, m'dear. We are talking about 4-and-a-half days in which the light levels never got better than pre-dawn, and the air was so thick with dust and smoke that visibility was down to half a mile.

It cheered up again on Friday afternoon, and it looks as though we're going to have a superb weekend. Hope you are too.

I did laundry for the first time in over a week last night. Turns out the drain outside blocked, and the torrential rain came into my laundry room.

Fortunately I am a messy bastard, and I left towels/sheets on the floor because I could not be bothered to wash them last time. So they prevented excessive damage.

Oh, and I'm back...

Ah, happy 'accidents'!

I fear I am about to become reacquainted with your domestic squalor all too soon.

Nice to have you back after such a long absence, Cowboy.

But - why are you over here rather than over there?

'Twas nothing that caught my eye to comment on over there.
